Sally-Ann's memories of Pearlie

Created by Richard 13 years ago
I only really remember Pearlie as my 'Mam's Auntie' and not in a physical sense. I think that the last time I saw her I was about 10 or 12, so the memory is quite fuzzy. She was always very much a presence in my life though, as she was so appreciated by my mother, for her kindness and consideration, also her general support throughout her life, that she was also a type of family matriarch to me and both of my girls. She was often talked about and general little stories told, in everyday conversations. Being a Grandmother myself now, Claire and I had discussed travelling to Cambridge in the future, to have photographs taken of 5 generations of the family (all girls I might add) but that never came to fruition for a number of reasons. Rest in peace Pearlie, you will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved you, and also those who never met you. My daughters never met you but losing you has left a massive hole in their hearts. Good night and sleep tight; see you on the other side. Lots of love from Sally-Ann XX
